The RGA Project Manager (PM) is responsible for managing our clients joint trench construction needs. The PM has the skills, fortitude, and professionalism to work directly with clients and projects that are highly visible, high demand and intense.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

:Track project milestone status, updating job folders as milestones are achieved.
:Work closely with designers and drafters, identifying and securing the appropriate resources needed, and developing schedules to ensure timely completion of assigned projects.
:Determine locations for transformers, vaults, meter rooms, meters, tie:in locations, etc.
:Assist the clients in meeting all the utility required clearances necessary for the related equipment.
:Communicate to the Assistant Project Managers the key project deliverables.
:Work with estimator to prepare bids.
:Collaborate with landscape architects and civil engineers.
:Work cross:functionally to improve overall procedures and documentation.
:Collect information needed from the client for utility service applications.
:Set up and maintain a project diary and database, documenting the job milestones overseeing the project status, while maintaining the clients scheduling goals to keep projects moving forward.
:Follow:up with utility companies in a timely manner to obtain required approvals.
:Perform quality control of the project drawings from RGA drafters.
:Create bid packages; assemble associated drawing sets and spreadsheets.
:Schedule and conduct pre:construction meetings.
:Work with Ajera project management software.
Qualifications and Experience
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
:Minimum of three years of professional experience managing multiple, simultaneous joint trench related utility design projects.
:Experience in project scheduling, cost controls, tracking and reporting methodologies.
:Strong design skills with join trench construction projects.
:Direct client management experience; establishes specific customer satisfaction standards and actively monitors client satisfaction.
:Must have a valid California Drivers License, clean driving record, and reliable transportation to visit client sites.
:Ability to improve procedures and documentation to create a continuous best practices environment for the position and the office.
:Experienced user with AutoCAD.
:Experience working with utility companies is a plus.
:Bachelors Degree in Engineering from an accredited institution, or at least 3 years related experience.
:Ideal majors: Mechanical, Civil, Industrial, Construction, Electrical Engineering or Architectural Design
