GENERAL PURPOSE:

Reporting to the Director, Store Finance, the Manager of Store Financial Planning & Analysis will manage core FP&A processes for Store Operations. The Manager will be responsible for annual and long term planning for store expense, G&A, and capital. In addition, the role will lead strategic analyses for stores, maintain and improve store reporting, and leverage expenses to drive maximum profits and exceed financial goals. The candidate will be required to partner with and influence executives within Store Operations and Finance on an ongoing basis.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

* Manage annual and 5 Year Planning budget processes for all store-related accounts, including Store Corporate, Field and LP G&A budgets and store expense budgets

* Ensure budgets and 5 Year Plans are based on sound assumptions and analytics, are accurate and submitted on time, and have been appropriately vetted and reviewed by relevant business partners using effective communication materials

* Build, maintain, and lead a high-performing team to maximize value addition to the company while maintaining high morale

* Supervise the work of analyst direct reports; coaching and developing analysts to ensure continued growth and development

* Manage expense and capital tracking, forecasting and expenditure control processes, and support month-end and quarter-end reporting processes

* Prepare weekly expense and monthly capital forecasts to the Corporate Finance team, monthly accruals and journal entries, budget to actual variance analysis, and Blue Book and Board meeting budget explanations

* Track and analyze expense and capital expenditures

* Work with business partners to ensure appropriate controls are in place to manage relevant store-related expense and capital spending

* Manage various complex analyses to answer questions that arise around store performance, ROI, operational issues, and other topics and effectively communicating the results to senior executives

QUALIFICATIONS AND SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED:

* Bachelor's degree required (preferably in an analytical field)

* Minimum of 4-6 years post college experience, preferably in Finance with progressive levels of responsibility and control

* Previous people management experience is preferred

* Strong analytical ability the candidate should be able to synthesize data, error check, and reconcile own work and manage others to accomplish the same

* A detail oriented approach must pay attention to the details and have the drive to deliver accurate work

* Excellent written and oral communication skills and the demonstrated ability to effectively communicate the results of analysis to senior audiences

* Strong fundamental business technical skills must have strong Excel and PowerPoint skills and have an ability to learn multiple back end software applications (i.e. Hyperion, PeopleSoft Financial Systems, Microstrategy, Sales Audit)

* Strong organizational and project management skills must have demonstrated ability to implement and manage strong control and reporting processes; must be able to drive a project from inception to implementation

* Business Partnership must have demonstrated ability to navigate across an organization and partner with others to complete complex deliverables

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/ADA:

Job requires ability to work in an office environment, primarily on a computer.

Requires sitting, standing, walking, hearing, talking on the telephone, attending in-person meetings, typing, and working with paper/files, etc.

Consistent timeliness and regular attendance.

Vision requirements: Ability to see information in print and/or electronically.
